UPDATED JUNE 18, 2020: The COVID-19 pandemic has canceled four of six races on the USA Triathlon Olympic-distance regional championship calendar. Only one has a set race date later this year. Organizers of Tri Waco are still working on a new date for their postponed race.
For events occurring prior to August 1, 2020, either the top seven (7) finishers or the top 65% finishers in an age group (whichever is greater) in the Olympic distance race listed below will qualify for the 2020 Olympic-Distance Age Group National Championships. Competitors must race the Olympic distance triathlon at these events; no other other distance or discipline at a Regional Championships will allow for the Olympic qualification.
All competitions be at least 17 years of age by Dec. 31, 2020, to qualify for the Olympic-Distance National Championships.
New for 2020, the Sprint and Olympic-Distance Regional Championships will qualify the top 25% of finishers in an age group for All-Region status.
