Robyn Stevens Lead Field to Win 2020 3000M Race Walk Championship

After dominating the women’s 50km race walk at the 2020 USATF Women’s 50km Race Walk Championship, thereby winning back-to-back national championship titles, Robyn Stevens took the 3000 meter race walk championship at the Toyota USATF Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 15.

She never gave up the lead throughout the race, and finished well ahead of the field by 12-plus seconds. Miranda Melville waited in fifth place in the first 1400 meters before picking up the pace to place second. Maria Michta-Coffey followed Robyn in second place for most of the race, dropping to third and fourth before finally outpacing Lauren Harris for third.

The next major competition in women’s race walk will be at the U.S. Olympic Trials – Track & Field in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, June 27 at 9:01 a.m. with the Women’s 20km Race Walk.
